HUGO Genetic Counselling Standing Committee
HUGO Genetic Counselling Standing Committee (HGCSC)
The HGCSC is established under the authority of the HUGO Board to support global efforts in genetic counselling practice.
Its primary purpose is to:
- Provide a global voice for capacity building in genetic counselling, with a focus on equity and inclusion across regions.
- Advocate globally for genetic counsellors and promote the strength and standing of the genetic counselling profession internationally.
The HUGO Genetic Counselling Standing Committee is expected to:
- Facilitate collaboration across regions to support the development of GC capacity.
- Advise the HUGO Board on strategic priorities related to GC workforce development.
